Glaiza de Castro says surfing in Baler helps lessen anxiety and depression due to pandemic
Glaiza de Castro has been enjoying some sea, sun, and surf in Baler, where she has been spending the community quarantine.
On Instagram, the Kapuso actress posted a photo of herself atop a surfboard braving the waves.
“Kung kailan ka pa tumanda, tsaka ka pa naglaro," Glaiza wrote in the caption of her post, clarifying it was a comment she made to herself to preempt possible haters.
According to Glaiza, she finally enjoyed the water after the local government unit allowed them to surf again.
Glaiza said the first thing she learned is respect for the ocean and its people.
Psychologists have long championed the value of exercise, access to nature, and having a hobby in battling anxiety and depression especially amid COVID-19. And it looks like Glaiza, who was recently tapped by the Canadian Film Society to appear in a Filbert Won movie in 2021, is proof to these tips. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
