Catriona Gray visits Cam Sur and Catanduanes for relief operations for those affected by recent typhoons
Catriona Gray visited Camarines Sur and Catanduanes to distribute relief goods and cash grants to those affected by Typhoon Ulysses last November.
On social media, the Red Cross Philippines ambassador posted photos from the event and thanked "all our donors, locally and abroad, who have come together to give to our typhoon-affected kababayans."
Catriona highlighted the importance of being physically present when sending out relief to people.
"It's one thing to call for awareness and donations on my platforms, but a completely different thing to be present in person when the aid is given," she added.
Catriona's post came a month after a netizen criticized her for being away as the typhoon ravaged the Philippines, and the COVID-19 pandemic was very much still a pressing matter.
At that time, the Miss Universe 2018 was in Colombia to judge the Miss Universe Colombia pageant, and en route to the South American country, she made a stopover in Turkey and shared a few snaps on her Instagram account.
The Filipina beauty queen explained, "this invitation was extended months ago and even though I'm away, I've been doing my part in working with @philredcross since the day of the typhoon to provide aid and relief to the affected areas. Thanks for your concern."
