‘Lord of the Rings’ actress Liv Tyler tests positive for COVID-19

“Lord of the Rings” star Liv Tyler just revealed she tested positive for COVID-19 just before the New Year.

The American actress, who is the daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, shared the news via Instagram last Friday, saying it “floored” her for 10 days in bed.

Tyler, a mother of three, was grateful that the rest of her family and bubble tested negative.

“I’m such a private and shy person and usually don’t share such things but this is a big one and I feel we all need to share our stories, to share information, to gather facts and awareness and mostly to know we are not alone in this,” the actress said.

“I tested positive for covid 19 on New Year’s Eve day. Sh*t I had made it all the way through 2020 keeping myself and my family safe. Doing everything I could to protect my wolf pack and follow the rules to protect others. Suddenly on the morn of the last day of 2020... boom it took me down,” she added.

The actress also reminded her followers to take extra care as the disease “F’s with your body and mind equally.

“It comes on fast, like a locomotive. Owchie,” the Tyler wrote.

“With it, feelings of fear, shame and guilt swirling through you , who could you have gotten it from and who could you have infected…Terrifying,” she added.

Liv Tyler is known for her role as Arwen, Aragorn’s half-elven lover in Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” film trilogy.

Her films also include “The Incredible Hulk” (2008), “Armageddon” (1998), and “Empire Records” (1995).
