Andi Eigenmann shares her newborn essentials for third baby
Curious about Andi Eigenmann’s newborn must-haves?
On Youtube, Sunday, the actress and her partner Philmar Alipayo shared their “minimalist and practical” items for their third island baby, who arrived via C-Section on Sunday, January 17.
Check them out below:
1. Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper
First on their list is a place for Baby Koa to sleep in. Given that they are now a family of five, the new island boy can no longer sleep with his parents, like what they did with Lilo.
The Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper can be attached to the bed for “extra safety” and is not as expensive as the usual cribs.
Andi also uses a Baby Lounger that allows them to keep their babies safe when co-sleeping with them.
2. Baby Carrier
One of her baby carriers is a boba wrap made with soft fabric, which Andi swears by because it ensures her babies’ newborn skins are safe.
This also lets her multitask and breastfeed more comfortably. The only downside for Andi is the material’s thickness that adds to Siargao island’s hot weather.
Another is her “dream carrier” given by Artipoppe which she considers the “better option” since it does not require wrapping the whole upper body.
3. Swaddle Blanket
To help wrap their babies easier and keep them snuggled, Andi and Philmar has cocoon swaddle bankets that have been used by Lilo, as well.
4. Newborn Clothes
These include seven long sleeve shirts, eight short-sleeved ones, leggings, hats, socks and mittens. Most of these, according to Andi, are hand-me-downs from Lilo.
5. Waterproof Changing Towels
Instead of getting a changing table, Andi and Philmar considers this the more practical choice for them.
“We will just bring the baby around with us so instead of going back to our room, ganito nalang para pwede namin siya palitan anytime,” the actress explained.
6. Eco-Craft Baskets
Andi is known to care for the environment so she ensures that even in her children’s things, she stays true to her advocacy. Aside from being a great way to organize things, these baskets can also be planted around the house.
7. Biodegradable Diapers & Wet Wipes
Having tried it on Lilo already, Andi prefers biodegradable than disposable diapers since it is super soft and absorbent.
“This goes alongside cloth diapers for when we are on the island,” she said.
The actress also has wet wipes which are made with natural ingredients to ensure her newborn baby’s skin’s safety.
8. Stroller
Andi’s dream stroller is from Baby Zen Philippines called the Yoyo+ because of its design that allows it to change from a bassinet to a seat for older babies. It can also be attached to another seat for toddlers.
9. Rash Cream & Nipple Cream
The soon-to-be mother of three wants to ensure that in times of emergency, she already has products that will keep her children okay.
Because breastfeeding isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, Andi prepared well ahead and bought a nipple cream to soothe her boobies after breastfeeding, and a rash cream for island baby Koa’s skin.
10. Bathing Essentials
These are the bathing mat and tub which both helps “lessen the fear” when bathing a newborn. For the wash and shampoo, Andi specifically uses Aveeno and shares that one bottle lasts them a year.
The family also made sure to disinfect the whole house before Andi gave birth to Koa on Sunday, January 17. Koa is Andi and Philmar’s second child together after Lilo.
Ellie, meanwhile, is Andi’s daughter to Jake Ejercito.
