Going somewhere? Here's where you can get tested for COVID-19

While testing doesn't excuse you from going out to party amid a pandemic, it does ensure you and your loved ones that you are safe and won't be spreading the virus to anybody else, when you spend time with them.

If you are among those who need to travel for work, or if you need to venture out on the beach in the name of well-being, here's a list of testing centers all over the country where you can get tested for the coronavirus.

METRO MANILA

1. Chinese General Hospital

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR test
Process: Drive-thru
Price: Start at P4,000 (Regular: 2 days processing); P5,000 (Super Regular: 1 day processing); P8,000 (Stat: 12 hours processing); P10,000 (Super Stat: 6 hours processing)

The Chinese General Hospital has a drive-thru testing center where people can quickly and safely get themselves checked.

Patients will be notified through text and email once their results are ready, which can be as early as six hours after taking the test depending on the package you take.

2. The Medical City

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR test and ECLIA Antibody test
Process: Drive-thru
Price: P5,000 (RT-PCR test), P2,200 (ECLIA Antibody test)

The Medical City offers two types of tests at their drive-thru COVID-19 testing centers: the RT-PCR test where they take a swab of your nose and throat, and the ECLIA Antibody test where they take a sample of your blood for analysis.

Patients who take the RT-PCR test can receive their results via email within 48 to 72 hours while those who took the ECLIA test can receive theirs within 24 hours.

No minimum age is stated for those who wish to take the ECLIA test, but the RT-PCR test requires a minimum age of 8 years old.

Although the ECLIA test welcomes onsite registration, the RT-PCR test requires online bookings at themedicalcity.com/covidtest.

The RT-PCR test is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. while the ECLIA test is open everyday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Ortigas Avenue, Pasig (Enter through The Medical City Drive and Exit through MD Camacho Drive) Website.

3. Philippine Red Cross

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR test (Swab and saliva testing available)
Process: Outpatient
Price: P3,800 (RT-PCR swab test), P2,000 (RT-PCR saliva test)

The Philippine Red Cross has two types of RT-PCR tests on offer, both of which take only 10 minutes to finish.

Results for the RT-PCR saliva test can arrive within three to four hours after testing, but you cannot eat, drink, smoke, brush, gargle, or wear lipstick 30 minutes before testing.

Results for RT-PCR swab test are given within 24 to 48 hours.

To take the tests, patients are required to book an appointment ahead online.

4. St. Luke’s Medical Center

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR test
Process: Drive-thru and outpatient
Price: Starts at P4,300 (Outpatient RT-PCR). P5,000 (Drive-thru RT-PCR test)

Two of St. Luke’s Medical Center’s branches in Metro Manila offer COVID-19 testing only for patients who are asymptomatic.

They’re open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and allows online booking through their website.

5. LabMobile PH

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR test and Antigen test (swab and saliva testing available)
Process: Drive-thru, outpatient, and home service
Price: P2,300 (Antigen - swab and saliva). P3,900 (RT-PCR Regular: 2-4 days processing). P4,900 (RT-PCR Overnight: 1 day processing)

On top of outpatient and drive-thru testing, LabMobile PH also offers home service testing.

Results for the RT-PCR test can be given within 1 to 4 days, depending on the package acquired, while the Antigen test can be given within 15 to 30 minutes.

Process: Drive-thru
Price: Starts at P3,000 (Regular: 2 to 4 days processing). P3,500 (Silver Stat: 2 days processing). P5,000 (Gold Stat: 1 day processing)

Safeguard DNA Diagnostics, Inc. has multiple drive-thru testing centers all over Luzon, from Quezon City all the way to Batangas City.

It is also set to open testing centers in Negros Occidental and Davao City.

With each location operating in different schedules, the testing center encourages patients to make an appointment ahead by texting or calling the branch you’d wish to drive through.

2. Hi-Precision Diagnostics

Kind of test offered: RT-PCR and Antigen tests
Process: Drive-thru and outpatient
Price: Starts P1,900 (Antigen). P4,400 (RT-PCR)

The Hi-Precision Diagnostics, a medical offer RT-PCR and Antigen testing all over the country, from Batangas all the way to Surigao.

Although it doesn’t cover Visayas yet, it does have multiple testing centers in Luzon and Mindanao.
