Kakie Pangilinan denies cutting in line for COVID-19 vaccine
Kakie Pangilinan denied accusations that she cut in line to get a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Last week, she shared a Twitter video of her getting vaccinated. She said that she has asthma, therefore falling under the priority group A3 or people with comorbidities.
In the replies, several netizens lashed out at her for getting the vaccine first before senior citizens or the marginalized.
On Monday, Kakie quote retweeted her video to address the comments she received.

"I didn't want to make this a big deal but have y'all ever thought maybe [people] have health issues [you] don't know about," she wrote.
"Didn't cut in line, got a text from Makati [government] saying I qualified, so I went, [because] it's the responsible thing to do,” she added.
In the same thread, Kakie said that she only wanted to be "transparent" but "even that was misconstrued" by the public.
She also used the platform to encourage everyone qualified to get their COVID-19 vaccines.

"I hope you're all safe and healthy. If you qualify, please get vaccinated not only for [your] protection but for those around [you]," she said.
Frankie added that she had her "own initial qualms" about proceeding with the vaccination but realized that such thoughts would not help the country.
"I thought about the [people] who might better qualify, but if we all think like that, how are we ever going to achieve herd immunity?" she said.
"Why would I post a video on a public platform if I cut in line? [Please] my goodness gracious."
Last week, Kakie's mother Sharon Cuneta also received her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine days after she announced that she was leaving the Philippines to go "home."
