BTS members have been vaccinated against COVID-19

All members of global sensation BTS have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

They shared the update during their speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) event titled "Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment" livestreamed on YouTube on Monday.

"The vaccination was a sort of ticket to meeting our fans waiting for us and being able to stand before you today," said Jung Hoseok, popularly known as J-Hope.

"We, too, are doing the things that we're able to do right now," he added.

Following their jabs, Kim Taehyung or V said they hope that they can see everyone again personally.

"The day we can meet again isn't far away. Until then, I hope we can feel each of our days to the brim with positive energy," he said.

In their speech, RM, V, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga encouraged everyone, especially the youth, to look forward to the future with a hopeful heart and welcome new challenges and change.

BTS arrived in New York with the Republic of Korea President Moon Jae In after being formally appointed as the Special Presidential Envoys for Future Generations and Culture last week.

The SDG Moment is where leaders from all over the world gather to talk about how they can achieve the 17 SDGs, especially now in a global pandemic.

BTS gave their first UN speech in 2018, and then again in 2020.

The seven-member group has also been part of the campaign "Love Myself" with UNICEF, which aims to end violence on children and teens worldwide, "with the hope of making the world a better place through music."

The Philippine Vaccine Expert Panel earlier reiterated that all COVID-19 vaccines are effective, especially in real world conditions, and urged the public to get whatever brand's available.
