14 establishments receive seal of good toilet-keeping from Maynilad, DOT

Fourteen establishments in the Philippines have been recognized for maintaining their toilets squeaky clean while ensuring proper water use.

Organized by the Maynilad Water Services Inc. with the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Kubeta PH Seal of Good Toilet-Keeping certifies that the business ensures the highest standard in toilet-keeping.

After undergoing an audit process, these establishments made it to the list of awardees:

2. Barbara’s Heritage Restaurant
3. Casa Buenas
4. Conrad Manila Hotel
5. Diamond Hotel Philippines
6. Sofitel Philippine Plaza
7. Kingsford Hotel Manila
8. Mama Lou’s Kitchen in Parañaque
9. Marriott Hotel Manila
10. The Mella Hotel
11. Solaire Resort and Casino
12. Palacio de Memoria
13. Shell Deli2Go
14. Sheraton Manila Hotel

Criteria for the seal include general maintenance and cleanliness of their toilets and proper wastewater management practices. The audits were done by the Maynilad Wastewater Management team.

The seal was given under the “Maynilad Kubeta PH x It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign, which aims to highlight the tourism industry’s efforts in promoting health and sanitation and proper water use.

“At the core of the Kubeta PH program is Maynilad’s commitment to sustainability,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito Fernandez.

“More than just amplifying the message, this partnership with DOT hopes to create a space for tangible application to our call for proper wastewater management.”
