LESSONS FROM THE HEART

Heart Evangelista shares golden pieces of advice for those in their 20s feeling lost and pressured

Heart Evangelista is to the rescue!

The Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations took to social media to share her own golden pieces of advice for people in their 20s, feeling lost and pressured right now.

In a series of Tiktok videos, Heart answered a few questions from netizens, one of whom asked if she had any advice for people in their 20s who feel lost and don't know what career path to take.

And because Heart is Heart, she answered the question while doing her skincare routine in a facial mask.

"You're 20. You have time. You're so young! Second, because you're 20 and you have time, you shouldn't be pressured and if you do feel pressured, it's normal," she began.

Heart shared that the struggles in life, especially in your 20s, is "normal and necessary."

"You're supposed to just keep living, keep searching, keep rediscovering yourself until you know who you are. It will keep you grounded and make you appreciate what you already have. Bonus na lang 'yung mangyayari sa future," Heart said.

As though to commiserate, Heart shared she actually went through the same lows that a person's 20s had to offer.

"Once upon a time when I was 21, I lost everything. All my money, my career, everything," the actress said. "And now here I am. It will come. Believe me."

When you press the restart button, Heart shared, you have the time to understand your situation and see what you have and don't have.

"Feeling lost and pressured is character development which will give you strength to go for your dreams," Heart said. "It's just a matter of time. Roll with the punches. Don't give up on yourself. It's part of the whole plan of God. You will know what to do when the time is right."

Meanwhile, Heart's husband, Sorsogon governor Chiz Escudero also shared his own advice when it comes to success and wealth.

Asked when is the right time for someone to consider themselves successful, Chiz answered, "When you're already content with what you have, regardless of how actually successful you are or financially stable you are compared to the people you know."

He added, "Because if you always gauge yourself as being successful or financially stable compared to the richest and successful people in the world, then you can never and will never be." — LA, GMA News
