Hwang In Youp bares his secrets for youthful-looking skin

If there's one thing that fans can unite on when it comes to Hwang In Youp's looks, it's that he does not look like he's 31 years old at all.

During a press conference held Sunday at the EDSA Shangri-La Manila, the Korean actor proudly shared some of his secrets to keeping youthful-looking skin.

According to In Youp, first on his list is making sure to apply protection when going out. He's been doing this ever since he was still a kid.

"As a young child, every time we would step out, my parents always put sunscreen on me and that has become a habit. I maintain that to this day," he said, as translated by host Sam Oh from Korean.

"If I have an outdoor shoot that day and I was under the sun a lot, exposed to a lot of UV rays, I usually [put] a hydrating mask when I get home at night," he continued.

The Skin by BYS endorser added that using the brand's products together has helped him achieve glass skin.

In Youp said he also ensures to finish his day with a cold facial wash and lip balm after taking a shower.

Aside from all these things, the "Why Her" and "The Sound of Magic" star said the most important thing is having a positive attitude and making sure to love oneself before anything else.

"I think as you love life, you get to a point where you become critical of yourself and maybe even hate yourself and I think it's really important to switch that paradigm to loving yourself," he said.

"It is only loving yourself that you are able to go to the next step which is loving others. I think that is my philosophy on being yourself," he added.

In Youp met some of his Pinoy fans during the "BYS Fun Meet" held at the New Frontier Theater Sunday.

Translating the actor's words, Sam said: "He was so surprised to see his fans who were there waiting for him. He's very excited to be back and do things and see his fans here."

"He's waiting for the day that his Filipino fans and friends can come over to Korea. They can also spend time over there. He's hoping that those days will come soon," she added.

In Youp rose to fame with his role as Han Seo Joon in "True Beauty," which also stars Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young. He made his acting debut with the web drama "W.H.Y."
