Ashley Ortega creates dance to ease her anxiety and depression: 'Laban mga besh'

Ashley Ortega turned to dance to help ease her worries amid life's challenges.

On Instagram, the Kapuso actress shared a video of herself dancing to a piece she choreographed to "overcome my anxieties and depression."

In the caption, Ashley said the few months had been difficult for her so wanted to share something to people who might be undergoing the same thing.

"I know how it feels," she wrote. "Watching this video [makes] it seem so flawless and beautiful on the outside but people will never know how painful it is to dance on [these] shoes."

"How painful it is to make the next step and how painful it is to make it look like you're not in pain."

Relating this to her life, Ashley said she chooses to carry on and "keep shining" despite feeling stuck.

"I decided to tell myself to keep going no matter how stuck you feel. No matter how bad things are right now. No matter how many days you've been crying. No matter how hopeless and depressed you feel. No matter how many days you've spent wishing things were different," she said.

"Never stop learning because life never stops teaching," she added. "Laban mga besh."

In the comments, among those who showered her with support include Athena Madrid and Rodjun Cruz.

Apart from dancing and acting, Ashley also dedicates her time and passion to figure skating. In fact, she will star alongside Xian Lim in upcoming series "Hearts on Ice."

Rooting for you, Ashley!
