Kathleen Paton shares wellness journey: 'From depressed and starving to happy and strong'
We love ourselves a transformation journey and Kathleen Paton might be the best one yet we've seen in a while.
The Ms. Eco International 2022 took to Instagram to share her wellness journey.
Posting a two-photo collage of herself with a five-week gap, the beauty queen said she went from "depressed and starving to happy and strong."
According to Kathleen, the photo on the left depicted a "depressed and extremely unhealthy" version of herself.
"I was only eating one meal a day due to stress and loss of appetite," she said, which resulted in being "always exhausted and fatigued."
"I couldn’t bring myself to workout or be happy. It was a constant cycle that took a toll on my health (both physical and mental)," she added.
"In the past, I succumbed to the pressure of staying as skinny as possible, sacrificing my energy and joy," Kathleen admitted.
It was upon moving to Bali, Indonesia, recently that sparked a positive change in the model and beauty queen.
"By exercising properly and fueling my body with love, I've not only gained strength and muscle definition throughout my body but also a newfound zest for life," she wrote.
Kathleen ended her caption with a gentle reminder for everybody to love ones body.
"Remember, it's not about being skinny; it's about being strong, nourished, and radiating confidence from within," she said.
"Embrace your unique journey, honor your body, and let your beauty shine in all its forms!"
Kathleen bagged for the Philippines the 2022 Ms. Eco International crown.
"I can’t wait to make a difference with this platform," she said when she won.
