Venus Raj’s wallet was returned by honest cab driver with the help of a churchmate
Venus Raj has quite a story to tell about that time she left her wallet in a cab and how the cab driver returned it.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2010 was in a Grab car on the way to the salon and was doing some admin work on the ride.
After arriving at the destination, a random number started calling Venus but she did not pick up.
“Then I received a message from the same number saying that I left my wallet in the [Grab] and she’s the passenger after me and she found it,” the beauty queen said.
According to Venus, the call was from a woman with whom she has "served together in church.” The beauty queen described her as "a sister in Christ."
Venus shared how she was able to talk to the driver after calling her sister in Christ.
“I talked to Kuya Jeremy, thanked him, and gave him instructions. Immediately after bringing her to her destination, Kuya Jeremy brought my wallet back,” Venus said.
Because of this, Venus looked at how “Nothing is by accident. God is in every detail of our lives.”
Venus added, “I’m amazed at how God protect us, provide for us, and even care for the smallest details of our lives.”
She said, “It could have been a different passenger, why this Sister in Christ who knows exactly how to contact me?”
Venus added how the driver didn’t even know that she was the passenger because she wore a face mask and used her first and middle names on the app.
“But he was honest enough to bring my wallet back, intact,” Venus said.
She then ended her post by saying a thanksgiving prayer, thanking her sister in Christ as well as Kuya Jeremy. She also prayed for Him to bless them.
Aside from working as a beauty queen and model, Venus completed her master's degree in community development at the University of the Philippines in 2017. She graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics in 2021.
She was part of this year’s Philippine Independence Day parade in New York City, along with Megan Young and R'Bonney Gabriel.
Venus served as a judge in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020, where Rabiya Mateo won.
