5 athleisure brands to upgrade your workout 'fits

Comfort comes first when it comes to activewear, but who says you can’t break a sweat and still serve a look?

When it comes to working out, there’s no strict rulebook on what you can or cannot wear. But as physician Dr. Ian Banzon puts it: “If you're not comfortable moving in it, then it's a bad fit.”

Whether you’re upgrading your workout fits or just shopping for casual pieces to run errands in, here are five local and international athleisure brands available in Metro Manila.

1. Every.day Club

Every.day Club is a local lifestyle and activewear brand that launched a capsule collection in August, featuring seven essential pieces that reflect the vibe of the Every.day Pilates space, a cult-followed studio in Quezon City.

The Afterburn capsule collection comprises a relaxed-fit graphic tee (P1,199), sweatshirt (P1,499), muscle tee (P999), and a cap (P499).

Every.day Club is exclusively available at 2/F, 150 Kamias Rd, Diliman, Quezon City.

2. Alba

Alba is a proudly Filipino activewear brand that supports women in their wellness journey through comfortable athleisure pieces perfect for Pilates, Barre, and Yoga. It opened shop in November 2024.

Among Alba’s newest releases are the Lily Stretch Tank Onesie (P1,800), Martina Bodysuit (P1,900), and Belle Ribbed Set (P2,300).

Alba is available on its official website.

3. Oysho

Oysho has finally arrived in the Philippines, launching its first branch this month in Pasay City.

The Spanish sports and leisure fashion brand offer garments designed for everyday wear, whether for workouts or downtime. Prices range from P1,000 to P6,000, while small items like grip socks cost around P800 to P1,000.

Oysho is located at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

4. Alo

In case you missed it, the cult-favorite activewear brand Alo is now available in the Philippines. It opened its first store in Makati City last May.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2007, Alo is known for its high-quality yoga and fitness apparel, with products ranging from P2,000 to P10,000. Among its celebrity endorsers are Jisoo of Blackpink, Jin of BTS, and Kendall Jenner, to name a few.

5. Uniqlo

Among the standout athleisure pieces from the Japanese brand are the AIRism UV Protection Full-Zip Hoodie (P1,490)and the Dry-Ex UV Protection Full-Zip Hoodie (P1,490), both made with fabric technology that blocks harmful UV-A and UV-B rays.
