Alden Richards encourages running for physical fitness, mental health

For Alden Richards, running is the best ways to stay active for a healthier lifestyle.

At the sidelines of the Sparkle Run on Saturday, the actor told GMA News Online that the sport can do wonders not only for physical fitness but also for mental health.

“Syempre sa ngayon marami nang factors tayo sa buhay na saan naging distracted tayo in our everyday life. But I think fitness is not to be compromised,” Alden said .

The Kapuso star also encouraged people to start their fitness journey regardless of their age or current condition.

“So be in your fitness era, it's never too late,” he added.

Alden has long been an advocate of health and wellness, often sharing his fitness journey which includes running and biking. He also joined a triathlon relay in March.

Alden is set to compete in his first ever triathlon next year. —JCB, GMA News
