This dude is making extra cash by upcycling junk
Fancy a lamp made from an old vodka bottle? How about a dish hanger made with an old shock absorber?
Meet Ian M. Sarra, an upcycling artist who has been making awesome furniture from old liquor bottles, pipes, and car parts he finds in junk shops.

He then pairs these with new technology to make for a totally unique and super functional product.
Take old vodka and whiskey bottles, for instance. He takes a few aluminum scraps to design the lamps, and then “gagamit kami ngayon ng LED bulbs para less energy consumption,” Ian says.
He’s upcycled an old shock absorber into a dish hanger, for people who need more kitchen space, he says; and he's found a new function for an old machine as a table stand.

He's has been making these utterly unique creations for two years now and guess what? People are beginning to pay him for them!
According to an Unang Balita report, he charges upwards of P2000 for his upcycled designs.
But while extra cash is always welcome, Ian says it’s the fact that he’s able to help the environment that’s making this endeavor totally fulfilling.
