‘MAKE LAB’

The Hub reopens with everything from traditional to edible art on offer

It's back! The Hub returns to give you the art fix you need.

The recently renovated artspace in Escolta this Saturday (July 22) hosts "Make Lab: Group Show", a convergence of everything from traditional to edible art. Bring a tote or buy one there, because you're sure to find something you'll want to take home.

The space is open from 11 am to 12 midnight — an entire day, because there's much to see.

98B COLLABoratory, GEN MDSE, Rules of Raw, 1372 Designs, The Heritage Collective, Lucky Dumplings, Eucalyptus, Sa Store, and Kine Shawarma are offering handmade, locally designed merchandise so be sure to either come with a full wallet or bring only what you're willing to spend. Plan ahead.

GEN MDSE introduces Kat Medina’s found ceramic line “Twice a Vessel”, and also its spruced-up shop and meticulously-curated lifestyle products.

Pay a quick visit to a new exhibit at The Drawing Room and check out “Picture of a Thousand Sunsets”, a collaboration between 98B and the El Ranchito Artists-in-Residence team.

Wind down at The Den and sample their new concoction — made with Fred’s Revolucion — or a pint of Strong Ale by Boondocks Brewing. (Pro tip: Free samples while supplies last.)

There's also performances by Pie, Sleepyheads, Identikit, /, Tarsius, and Sewage Worker to look forward to and food from Fred’s Revolucion, Lucky Dumplings, and Kine Shawarma to keep you fueled throughout the day.

The Hub is located at First United Building, 413 Escolta Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila. — AT, GMA News
