'Lip Sync Battle Philippines' returns for 3rd season in April
More battles are underway for the grand return of Lip Sync Battle Philippines in April for its third season. Kapuso comedy genius Michael V. will host the show while TV host-actress Iya Villania-Arellano will be the color commentator.
In the press conference of the show on Monday, the hosts revealed what makes this season a lot more striking than the first two seasons.

"Grander in a sense that we won't be only having 2-way battles, we will in fact be having 3-way battles and 4-way battles," Iya explained to the press.
"Limited dati sa dalawa lang eh, one on one lang eh, ngayon meron ng mga ganon, kasi napanuod namin 'yong Lip Sync Battle sa US meron silang mga ganon kaya dapat meron din tayo, Pilipino tayo eh galing kaya natin manggaya," Bitoy joked.

Selecting battlers
When it comes to choosing the performers, the hosts said some present themselves with pitches, while they also invite others over to to rock the stage with their lip sync skills.
"Actually halo halo, may mga iba na nag-pe-present na gusto nila, na gusto kong jumoin," Bitoy said.
He continues, "Matagal na 'yong iba eh, kahit n'ong mga unang season pa, 'yong mga gustong sumali, 'yong mga meron silang gustong kalabanin, nagkataon lang na di nabigyan ng chance."
Iya said the battlers take their performances to heart.
"Sineseryoso kasi nila 'to eh, kasi kunwari kung talo sila, sa first time na mag-join nila, they will come back with a vengeance, they really want to be able to take home the championship belt."
The two also revealed that Kapuso love team Bianca Umali and Miguel Tan Felix who were team mates in last season's show will return as rivals for season 3.
"Like nakita niyo si Miguel and Si Bianca, sumali sila magkakampi nung huling season. Ngayon magkalaban sila."
Celebrities they want to have on stage
While they've seen almost all Kapuso stars they could think of on stage, they still have a wish-list of names of celebrities that they'd be happy to have on their stage.
"Ako very vocal ako dun sa AlDub," Bitoy said.
Iya agreed with Bitoy's idea since she said, it's Dubsmash Queen Maine Mendoza who started the trend.
"It would be very awesome if makuha natin sila, pati kasi sila nag-originate, sa kanila nagsimula 'di ba 'yong kay Maine," Iya agreed. — LA, GMA News
