Julie Anne San Jose on being the last cover girl for Cosmo PHL print: 'I'm very honored'

Sadly, May marks the last print issue for Cosmopolitan Philippines.

The good news is Asia's Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose is gracing its final cover.

At the Vivo V9 Mall Tour in SM North EDSA Annex on Sunday, where the special red edition of the V9 phone was launched, GMA News Online had a quick backstage chat with the Kapuso singer-actor who also happens to be an endorser of the phone brand.

She told us how honored she felt to be chosen as Cosmo's closing cover girl for print.

"I'm just really happy that Cosmo chose me to be their cover girl for the May issue, 'yon 'yong last print issue nila. I'm very flattered and honored."

She said appearing on the cover of Cosmo was a dream come true. "Of course, every girl naman dream of being a cover girl. I'm happy it was really another blessing."

Julie shared what's it like shooting with the Cosmo team and renowned fashion photographer Shaira Luna.

"It was really fun, nakita ko yung mga photos, during the shoot din, so ayun actually humihingi ako ng copies, they were the photographs by Shaira Luna, sobrang chill lang, sobrang fun, very homey yung vibe."

Her makeup was done by Kaye Misajon, her hair was styled by Rhoy Cervantes and her OOTDs were prepared by stylist Ash Aquino.

Although it was Julie Anne's debut cover for Cosmo Philippines, it was not her first time to work with the team. She was previously featured as their first celebrity on their digital series #CosmoPHSpotlight.

In early April, Summit Media announced that it has completed its digital transformation as it bid farewell to the last six print magazines in its portfolio: FHM, Yes!, Cosmopolitan, Town and Country, Top Gear, and Preview magazines.

Julie Anne will star on a new GMA show, "My Guitar Princess" which will premiere on May 7. — LA, GMA News
