Here's why you should join the upcoming Manila Bay cleanup in September
We’ve all seen Manila Bay literally throw trash up during the Habagat rains earlier in the month.
If that bothered you so much, well, you can take that concern up a notch and do something about it. Because the problem is much more serious than we think.
According to one study, an equivalent of one truckload of plastics enter our oceans every minute.

Apart from cutting down on single-use plastic, you can also join Greenpeace Philippines in its two-day coastal cleanup and plastic waste brand audit.
On September 14 and 15, Greenpeace Philippines will host a Manila Bay beach cleanup and plastic waste brand audit. It starts at 6am and will last until 10am on each date.
Similar to last year’s coastal cleanup at Freedom Island, this year’s cleanup aims to identify what types of wastes and which brands end up in out oceans.
