More than 50 Frederick Peralta-designed clothes are on sale right now to raise funds for the designer's recovery from stroke


More than 50 dresses and suits designed by Filipino fashion designer Frederick Peralta are currently on sale in a trunk show at Marriott Manila Hotel, to help raise funds after the designer suffered a stroke last year.

Michelle Garcia the Director of Marketing & Communications at Manila Marriott Hotel  posted videos and photos of Frederick, who is currently staying at a nursing home.

"Mother Fred is recuperating from a stroke suffered last year. Recently he moved in to Home Health Care, a health care service provider with a team of physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, nutritionists/dieticians, medical technologists and trained caregivers. The company specializes in delivering wellness programs and services to seniors and persons with disability in the comfort of their homes," Michelle wrote on her Facebook post.

Garcia invited her friends in the industry and anyone who wants to help to visit "Shop & Help trunk sale" at The Hub, Marriott Hotel from which will run from June 16 to 23, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Although Frederick is still undergoing treatment, the designer did not stop on sketching gowns and suits.

In one of the videos, Michelle showed Frederick's sketch pad filled with his drawings while he's staying inside the health care center.

Fredrick's garbs are reasonably priced: Evening gowns start at P8,000, suits at P2,500, and shoes at P250. 

The proceeds of the trunk sale will all go to Fredrick's funds for recovery and living expenses at the health care center.
