Oprah Winfrey's decorator designs Belos' Mexican-themed Christmas tree
Filled with colorful banderitas, fruits and animals made out of paper mache, the 10-feet wide Christmas tree will surely captivate anyone who visits Dr. Vicky Belo's house.
According to Nelson Canlas' report on 24 Oras, Monday, the Mexican-themed Christmas tree called "Feliz Navidad Scarlet" was designed by Stephen Brown, Oprah Winfrey's decorator.
Dr. Vicky Belo, a well-known celebrity beauty doctor, assured that even though the design came from abroad, all of the materials were made locally.
Aside from the senorita doll sitting at the top of the tree, the Belos' house was filled with colorful banderitas in anticipation for the Holidays.
According to Belo, Scarlet Snow helped decorate the tree.
"It's the first time she helped kasi usually they just do it with her, one trinket, pero she was so involved this year," she said.
Aside from the Christmas tree, Belo had a nativity set displayed in her house that has been with her for over 30 years now.
"Main theme is Belen because I feel very sad. Nakakalimutan na ng tao why Christmas is actually there," Belo said.
However, more than the elaborate decorations, Belo reminded everyone that we should always remember what the holiday is all about. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
