Promote a star-friendly home
Honing a kid’s talent begins at home. Big or small, our humble abode is every child’s training ground, and should be conducive to the kind of activities kids want to pursue.
Children are bursting with gifts and talents waiting to be discovered and adult have the power to make this happen. Here are ideas to help make your home a breeding ground for kid’s gifts and talents:
Build special corners
Create a space for your child’s interest. This provides an environment for him to explore, learn, and try new things. No need for big renovations. A spice rack can turn into a bookshelf. An old table can transform into a homework station. Used shoe boxes may turn into storage for crayons or drawing materials. Get design ideas on the internet. Use your child’s favorite color and personalize the space to make it more inviting.
Make an inspiration board
Inspiration boards can boost confidence, inspire change, or bring hope. Use a blackboard and some chalk to spread positivity with words of wisdom or motivational quotes. This can also double as an idea board, so make sure sticky notes and pens are available for your kid’s bright ideas. Place these boards in different spots in your home.
Create a wall of fame
Display your child’s milestone and works of arts. Showing accomplishment can help build his confidence. Use an empty wall or a hall way to showcase poems or drawings. Frame photos of your child showcasing his talents, skills, or accomplishments. Let him know that whatever he does is important to you.
Schedule a viewing time
Line-up exciting and informative shows you can watch with your kids. Schedule regular viewing time either in the morning or afternoon. Engage them while watching the show by asking what they think about it. Listen to their ideas to let them feel their opinions are valued. Serve morning or afternoon snacks to make it more inviting. Make sure your playlist include entertaining and informative kiddie shows like TOPPS Sarap TOPPStar TV.

They enjoyed the on-stage games, and performances by their classmates; the kids also learned from talks on anti-bullying, and advice from their favorite Kapuso artists who graced the event.
An activity area was set up for TOPPSagot (an interactive game), arts and crafts, and photobooth. There was also an audition booth for kids who are interested to perform in front of the camera. Watch the video below to see highlights of the school tour.
