Paulo Coelho offers some of his books for free online amid COVID-19 lockdowns


Paulo Coelho has made some of his books available for download free of charge as many countries implement lockdown measures to curb the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Brazilian author, known for his novel "The Alchemist," announced the good news on Instagram.

He wrote, "During the current pandemic, I posted some titles (ebooks) for free on my page."

Three ebooks are available in English: "Manuscript Found in Accra", "Manual of the Warrior of Light," and "The Way of the Bow."

The World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic.
