Pussycat Dolls postpone concert in Manila due to COVID-19 threat

The Pussycat Dolls concert scheduled on May 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena has been postponed due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Concert producers Wilbros Live announced the development on Wednesday, but they did not disclose the new schedule of the concert.

They asked fans who already got tickets to "hold on to them" as they will still be valid on the new date.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding. Take care and please stay safe!" their announcement said.

The Pussycat Dolls were known for their popular hits like "Buttons," "Don't Cha," and "When I Grow Up."

This year, they released a new single called "React" 10 years after their split.

Their current members include Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and their half-Filipina leader Nicole Scherzinger.

The COVID-19 scare has hampered several concerts and fan events in the Philippines, including Noah Centineo and Lana Condor's "P.S. I Still Love You" fan meet and the Manila leg of Green Day and Avril Lavigne tours.
