Here's how you can co-watch videos and posts with friends on Instagram
It's impossible to bond with friends physically with the social distancing measures due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
But now, Instagram just made it possible virtually.
The photo and video sharing platform is now allowing co-watching posts, video, and even live videos with friends.
Instagram's latest feature will help you feel more connected with friends even as you watch together over video chat.
How to co-watch on Instagram
1. Save the post or video you would like to co-watch.
2. Go to your direct inbox and click on the video icon on the upper right corner of your screen to start a video chat with your friends.
3. In the video chat, you will see three options on the lower right of the screen: Effects, Media, and Add.
4. Press Media to show the posts you've liked, saved, and some suggested posts.
5. Select one and enjoy co-watching with your besties.

Aside from the co-watching feature, Instagram has taken steps to help their users access accurate information and still stay connected while at home.
According to the platform, they have included more educational resources on their Instagram search.
They have also taken extra measures to remove COVID-19 accounts from recommendations unless it is a credible health organization.
Instagram users who search for COVID-19 information will see an educational message connecting them to valid resources from the World Health Organization and other local health authorities. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
