Student gives relief packs to frontliners, homeless people in Taguig City

A student and his family have roamed the streets of Taguig City to give food packs and hygiene kits to frontliners, homeless people, and low-income earners.

Joshua Andrei Jawod launched his fundraising initiative “Sagip Frontliner” back in April to give a helping hand to families and frontliners affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to Joshua, he first thought of starting his relief operations when his family helped out their neighbors. He then decided to extend as much help as he could to more people.

The National Economic and Development Authority shared that the enhanced community quarantine, imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19, could threaten the jobs of over one million workers. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
