The Last Dance tops ESPN record as most watched documentary ever

"The Last Dance" is ESPN's most-watched documentary, according to ratings.

The network's docu-series about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls finished its ten episodes with an average of 5.6 million viewers. The series is also shown on Netflix.

"We are thrilled with the response from fans throughout the run of the series," said ESPN executive VP of content Connor Schell.

"The past five Sunday nights have brought fans together providing the type of communal viewing experience traditionally reserved for live sports."

According to the sports network, the series was also a big hit on social media as it trended on Twitter for five straight Sundays. — LA, GMA News
