Here's something to watch on Independence Day: Lav Diaz's eight-hour epic "Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis" is streaming on YouTube for free this June 12.
For those who haven’t seen it, the award-winning film tells the story about the rise and fall of Filipino evolution, and the cast includes John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, Alessandra de Rossi, and Sid Lucero.

"Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis" (A Lullaby for the Sorrowful Mystery) won the Silver Bear Alfred Bauer Prize in the 2016 Berlinale Film Festival.
It will be available on the TEN17P YouTube channel from June 12 to June 14.
