"Supernatural" is ending after a 15-season run, but it's not the last we're seeing of Jensen Ackles.

"I keep wondering what I’ll do....when [Supernatural] finally ends this year. Then it hit me," he wrote.

According to Collider, Ackles will play Soldier Boy, the original superhero, and the first super celebrity in the series.

Eric Kirpke, creator of "Supernatural" and showrunner and executive producer of "The Boys" said Ackles will "bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role."

"I can’t wait to be on set with him again, and bring a bit of Supernatural to The Boys," he said.

Ackles is famous for his roles as Dean Winchester on "Supernatural."

His co-star Jared Padalecki, who plays Dean's brother Sam, expressed his happiness in his new role.

"Couldn’t be happier for my brother from another mother!! Thrilled you’re gonna keep kicking ass and takin names. They’re lucky to have ya," he said in the comments section of Ackles' post.

"The Boys," an Amazon Original series based on a comic book, is returning for its second season on September 4.
