Son Ye Jin - Kang Ha Neul historical K-drama in talks — reports

Citing Sports Seoul, Soompi reports that Son Ye Jin may possibly star in a new drama called "Cut by the Heart."

The report describes "Cut by the Heart" as a historical drama that follows the tragic love story of Princess Pyeonggang as she takes advantage of On Dal's feelings for her, making foolish sacrifices for the princess.

According to Soompi, the "Crash Landing On You" star was offered to play the role of Princess Pyeonggang. A source from Son Jin's agency MS Team Entertainment confirmed that the historical drama is "one of the projects she has received offers for, and nothing is decided yet."

Should Son Ye Jin accept the "Cut by Heart" offer, it will be her first historical drama since SBS's "The Great Ambition" in 2002, Soompi said.

Citing TH Company meanwhile, Soompi reports that Kang Ha Neul has also received an offer to play the character On Dal and that he is currently reviewing it.

On Dal is described as a man who lives with his mother in a thatched cottage deep in the mountains. One day, he finds himself in the village market and meets Princess Pyeonggang. 

Son Ye Jin recently starred in a K-drama hit series "Crash Landing On You," while Kang Ha Nuel won the Best Actor award at  The 56th Baeksang Awards for his role in "When the Camellia Blooms."

Two other well-known Korean actors were nominated for the title including Hyun Bin and Park Seo Joon. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
