How to prepare a simple, Japanese-style choco banana treat, according to Marika Sasaki

We may not be able to travel to Japan anytime soon, but we can make their famous delicious choco banana treat in the comfort of our own homes!

During a live episode of “ECQusina” on Friday, singer Marika Sasaki, who is now residing in Japan, shared that choco banana treats were popular among children especially during Japanese festivals.

To make one, Marika shared that all you’ll be needing are bananas, barbecue stick or chopstick, chocolate, and toppings.

First, peel off the skin of the banana and insert the stick not on the end but somewhere near the middle of the fruit.

Once the stick is inserted, place the banana on a baking sheet and set aside.

Melt your chocolate of choice, be it white chocolate, milk or dark, in the microwave for a minute.

Use the melted chocolate to coat the banana and add toppings such as sprinkles.

You can even add a choco biscuit on top of the banana!

“ECQusina” is a live weekly Facebook show hosted by Kara David that shares with viewers how to make tasty dishes with daily grocery items.

Other celebrities who have appeared in the show are Kimpoy Feliciano, Ken Chan, and Katrina Halili. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
