5 school supplies organizers for your kid's distance learning

School year 2020-2021 has officially started and children across the country are going to be distance learning for the next several months.

This means parents are expected to turn their homes into a conducive place for learning and well-equipped with their children's school-related needs.

You can do this by simply keeping their school supplies tidy and ready for use, using some of these neat organizers featured Monday on "Unang Hirit."

1. Desk organizer

Help your kids avoid clutter by giving them a desk organizer.

Kids can put all their school supplies like pens, scissors, and paper in individual compartments, where they can easily find them and pull them out.

According to a craft store manager, Gerald Bustos, there are wooden DIY organizers you can assemble yourself for only P450.

2. Hanging organizers

What if your child doesn't have much space on the desk?

Hanging organizers can do the job of holding your school supplies while taking up almost no space on a desk itself.

Bustos said parents can find different-sized hanging organizers that already have the adhesive to stick them to a desk or a wall.

3. Book holder

This nifty contraption holds a book open for you while you're busy doing other stuff.

According to Bustos, you can buy metal book holders for as low as P180, and it already has the mechanism to secure the book on the page where your child left off.

Moms can also borrow this just in case you need something to hold your cookbook while you work in the kitchen.

4. Notes divider

Students can easily lose track of important paperwork if they just store it all in one place.

Thankfully, there are note dividers you can use to separate your child's papers modules, reviewers and scratch papers.

The best thing about having note dividers is that you can keep loose pieces of papers labeled and organized, and still keep them all in one place.

5. Envelope with pockets

Here's an idea: What about having one envelope for all your child's important school papers?

There are special envelopes you can buy that already have plastic partitions that you can label.

Some of these envelopes even come with a rubber button that keeps important documents safe and secure. —Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
