Herbs and veggies you can easily plant and grow in pots

If you don't have a garden, don't worry! You can still be a plantita or plantito.

There are veggies and herbs that survive even in simple pots.

In an interview on "Unang Hirit," Marco Afuang from Antonio's House of Greens said some of the veggies you can grow are eggplant, bell peppers, and Malaysian chili, and siling panigang.

"Sa katunayan, madali lang sila alagaan. Ang vegetables, hindi sila masyadong maselan, pwede sila itanim sa direct soil or ilagay niyo lang sila sa malalaking paso para tumubo ang mga ugat nila," Afuang said.

"And then, kailangan din nila ng direct sunlight, at pwede po silang maulanan," he added.

It takes around 45 to 60 days for these plants to bear fruits, depending on the soil used, and the climate of the area they're placed in.

Meanwhile, the herbs you can plant in pots include peppermint, oregano, and celery.

In contrast, these are more difficult to care for.

"Ang herbs kasi, medyo maselan sila, kasi hindi sila pwedeng nauulanan. But at the same time, less sunlight, preferably morning sun," Afuang said.

"And at the same time, tulad ngayon, medyo maulan, nagiging matamlay ang mga herb plants, hayaan lang natin sila na maka-recover sa pagpalit ng ating klima," he added. —JCB, GMA News
