Gracenote, BBS drop K-drama-inspired single ’It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’

After everything we’ve been through amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Gracenote is telling us “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.”

The Filipino electro-pop band, in collaboration with BBS, just dropped a feel-good single inspired by the series of the same name, as well as their overall love for K-dramas.

Gracenote also released a music video where the band members dressed as healthcare workers treat themselves to a delicious Korean meal and a relaxing day out.

“Through this song, Gracenote x BBS wants to let their fans know that It’s Okay to not be Okay especially during these difficult times,” the band said in the description.

“We just need to be genuinely there for each other. The song features an upbeat vibe that aims to lighten the mood of the listeners,” they added.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is a Korean drama series that tells a heartwarming love story between an employee (Kim Soo-hyun) and an antisocial children’s book author (Seo Ye-ji).

Gracenote and BBS expressed their love for the K-drama, which was a big hit in the Philippines earlier this year.

“The series which was the song’s namesake was unique, entertaining, cinematic, and touching that Darwin Hernandez (1/2 of BBS) was moved to write the song,” the description of the music video said.
