'Mr. Football' Elmer Bedia is selling his 2 motorbikes to raise funds for typhoon victims

Elmer Bedia, a former player of the Philippine national football team, is raising funds for typhoon victims in the country.

His football academy, together with non-profit ATIN Asia, Inc., has launched a donation drive for Marikina City, Rizal, and Cagayan residents who have been devastated by floods.

Bedia is also selling his two motorbikes in Brisbane, Australia, where he is based, to personally contribute to the cause.

"We personally know of individuals and families who were deeply affected and have identified communities we will be serving. We would like you to join us in giving help to these victims," said ATIN Executive Director Cecill Garcia Artates on Facebook, tagging Bedia on her posts.

The list of beneficiaries include: Barangay Nangka in Marikina; Barangay Wawa and Kasiglahan Village, in Rodriguez, Rizal; Barangay Banaba in San Mateo; Barangay Daraitan, in Tanay; and Youth-Led Feeding Program in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

"We will be using the funds raised to buy hygiene kits, food packs, blankets, mats, underwear, slippers, face mask, and diapers," Artates said.
