Angono unveils 'masked giants' for 2020 Higantes Festival


The annual Higantes Festival of Angono, Rizal featured some "masked giants" to remind everyone to take proper precautions against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Art Capital of the Philippines has organized various online activities, including an exhibit of their famous costumed giants.

Each costume stands 10-12 feet high dawning beautiful, colorful costumes and a head crafted from either clay or paper mache.

Angono celebrates the Higantes Festival every November with a fantastic parade of giants to celebrate the town feast on November 23. —Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
