Marian Rivera launches Flora Vida Home offering rustic home pieces with floral design

Marian Rivera on Tuesday has officially launch Flora Vida Home extending her shop from flowers to homeware like lamps, throw pillows, a nursery line, and even furniture.

In a press conference with the entertainment media members including GMA News Online, Marian shared the story behind her business' new extension.

Marian said the fabric of the items will have a "linen vintage rustic feel" featuring a timeless design.

"So 'yun ang pinush ko. Parang gusto ko magkaroon then finally kumuha ako ng fabric tapos pinagawa ko siya para sa 'kin [and] sobrang happy ako. So doon ako nagka-idea. 'Bakit hindi ko siya i-extend as Flora Vida Home'," she narrated.

According to Marian, since the fabric design also featured flowers, it seemed naturally connected to Flora Vida. "So doon nagsimula 'yan," she added.

The Kapuso Primetime Queen also said among her driving force in creating the new line is to provide some positive vibes in the homes of future owners of Flora Vida Home items.

Aside from their usual ready-to-ship offerings, Marian said she is also accepting customized orders for whatever her customers would want to purchase, whether it's a sofa, curtain, or anything with fabric.

Marian has partnered with craftsmen of Paete, Laguna in creating the furniture pieces of Flora Vida Home.

"Gustong gusto ko yung fabric from Europe at the same time nilikha pa rin ng Pinoy. Pinagsama ko siya, so very very happy ako sa kinalabasan. May touch of Pinoy pa rin siya at masasabing gawang Pinoy pa rin siya," she said.

Marian is hands-on in all aspects of her business, employing just one secretary to help in taking orders.

"Packaging, pagbabalot, pagde-deliver — ako talaga lahat. [Pero] ang maganda diyan, nakakita akong magandang [delivery] partner, which is ang Dingdong.ph. Sila ang magde-deliver [ng orders]," she said.

Working on this business venture for 2-3 years now, Marian said she was only waiting for the perfect time to launch it.

Marian launched Flora Vida in 2017 offering perennial blooms. Just recently, she launched her new collection of dried flowers.
