Filipino rom-com BL web series 'Gaya sa Pelikula' will be on Netflix in January 2021

Netflix Philippines announced on Monday that Filipino rom-com BL web series "Gaya sa Pelikula" will be available on the platform on January 7, 2021.

The show, directed by JP Habac and written by Juan Miguel Severo, is about two boys forced to become housemates.

A 19-year-old boy named Karl (Paolo Pangilinan) takes on jobs online to earn enough money to pay rent but after one of his major clients goes MIA an opportunity presents itself.

His neighbor Vlad (Ian Pangilinan) gets caught up in a sticky situation where he hides from his own family and proposes that the two of them become housemates for the rest of the semester break in exchange for cash.

Its executive producer is Quark Henares from Globe Studios.

The whole team feels delighted to be given the opportunity to showcase their work on Netflix where it will reach a wider audience.
