BTS' Suga says recovery is 'going well' following shoulder injury
South Korean singer Suga is recovering well two months after getting surgery on his shoulder.
The BTS member had the operation back in November, and he said it was going to take six months to recover.
"I can’t raise my arm to 90 degrees yet. It feels like it’s not my arm, like it’s the arm of an infant. Since it doesn’t move well it does hurt a bit," he said in a V Live broadcast on Monday, according to Soompi.
"I’m continuing to receive rehabilitation treatment. I’m doing various exercises that are within my range of motion," he added.
Suga said it was a "slow process," so he feels "somewhat impatient."
"But I’m making consistent progress. Since I’m not attending a clinic that forces me to increase my range of motion, I’m only using my shoulder within the range that I can use," he said.
He said that he would probably attend Big Hit Labels’ year-end concert, 2021 New Year's Eve Live. However, he wouldn't be able to do dance performances.
He also wouldn't be able to hold a microphone with his left hand.
Suga is part of the seven-member K-pop sensation BTS.
The group had an incredible year, what with the success of their hit song "Dynamite," which broke YouTube records with its music video premiere.
The boys also received their first Grammy nomination for "Dynamite," and was named entertainer of the year by Time magazine. —JCB, GMA News
