Gina Pareño takes up Disney's call for a Filipino lola

Disney is looking for a Filipino lola to cast in an upcoming film, and Gina Pareño is totally interested.

The award-winning veteran actress just tweeted Disney's casting call on Thursday, together with a photo of herself.

"Pasado ba ako pag nag audition ako sa Disney? Retweet if you agree," Gina said. "I-retweet n'yo pa, para makarating sa kanila, pls! Haha."

Based on their invite, Disney is searching for a Filipino or Filipino-American woman aged 50 to 90.

Although no professional acting experience is required, the applicant must be able to speak English fluently and be comfortable traveling on a plane to Atlanta.

The title of the project and further details about it are yet to be disclosed, but a lot of people on Twitter seem to think Gina is up for the job. —Margaret Claire Layug/MGP, GMA News
