Tom Holland says no cameo from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in 'Spider-Man 3'

Tom Holland has finally addressed the rumor that his Spider-Man predecessors will be making an appearance in Marvel's upcoming third film of the franchise.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show," the actor said it would be "amazing" if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would make a cameo because he himself wasn't told about it.

"I am Spider-Man and I've read the script from beginning to the end," Holland said. "It will be a miracle if they could've kept that from me, but at the moment, there is no cameo from the two boys."

Fallon then pointed out that producers did keep information from him so as to keep him from spoiling the films, and Holland agreed.

"Actually it gets to the point where it's really frustrating," Holland said. "Because I feel like by now I'm a trustworthy member of the Avengers and I haven't really spoiled anything."

There have been previous reports claiming that Garfield and Maguire, who both played the masked web-slinger on separate franchises, might appear in Marvel's third "Spider-Man" movie.

An article by Collider claimed that "the third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland will delve into the multi-verse, just like its animated counterpart ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.'"

Holland played Peter Parker on "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (2017), "Spider-Man: Far From Home" (2019) and, of course, Marvel’s ultra-successful "Avengers" franchise.

Recently, he and his co-stars Jacob Batalon and Zendaya shared sneak peeks of the film and posted funny movie "titles." —JCB, GMA News
