John Mayer's TikTok debut gets bombarded with comments from Taylor Swift fans
John Mayer's TikTok debut was bombarded with comments from Taylor Swift's fans, who looked back on their past relationship.
The American singer posted his first video on Tuesday, asking his followers how to flip the camera.
Instead of getting help from the netizens, what Mayer got was numerous comments from Swifties, with some quoting lyrics from the popstar's song "Dear John."
"John don't you think 19 was too young?" one wrote. Another said: "Don't you think 19 was too young to be messed with?"
One said that Mayer is "not safe" for choosing to open an account on TikTok and that they "will never forget what [he] did to [their] girl."
Hours after, Mayer posted another video. This time, of him listening and agreeing to someone who is "berating" him.
Since then, Mayer has been sharing videos of him singing and even teaching his followers how to play his song "Neon" on guitar.
Mayer and Swift were reported to be dating in 2009 when he was 32 and she was 19.
