In March last year, Miranda announced that the released of "In The Heights" had been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Directed by Jon Chu, the film was originally set to premiere in the U.S. last June.
It is based on Miranda's musical "In The Heights" which follows a community that lives in Washington Heights.
Miranda is also the creator of the phenomenal musical "Hamilton."
