Red Velvet’s Wendy shares 1st teaser for ‘Like Water’ solo debut in April

Red Velvet’s Wendy just released the first teaser for her upcoming solo album “Like Water.”

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the South Korean idol shared a stunning portrait of herself and the album title “Like Water” set on a light blue background.

“New chapter of our lives has begun,” it read. The mini album, which will contain five tracks, will be released April 5 at 6 p.m. KST or 5 p.m. Philippine time.

SM Entertainment, Red Velvet’s agency, confirmed Wendy’s solo debut this month.

Wendy is the first to make a solo debut among the five members of Red Velvet. As of writing, she is the top trending topic on Twitter, with more than 345,000 tweets.

In July 2020, Red Velvet members Irene and Seulgi formed a sub-unit and released the mini album “Monster.”

The two other members of the group are Joy and Yeri.

Red Velvet, which debuted in August 2014 with their single “Happiness,” is widely known for their hit songs “Psycho,” “Russian Roulette,” and “Bad Boy.”
