'Brookyln Nine-Nine' begins production of final season


"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 8 has officially begun production!

In a Twitter post, Melissa Fumero revealed that she and the rest of the cast were already on the second day of filming.

 

 

 

"Ba ba ba back in the Nine Nine!!! Yesterday, I was so excited to be back at work I forgot to take a pic to commemorate the occasion, so here’s a day 2 pic!" the actress wrote.

The upcoming eight season is set to be the show's last.

Executive producer Dan Goor earlier said that they had always envisioned the series to end after 153 episodes.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" revolves around the hilarious shenanigans inside a police station in Brooklyn. The well-loved characters include Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), as Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), Michael Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), and Norm Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller).

It first aired on FOX in 2013 before getting canceled after five seasons. After the cancelation garnered a strong reaction from fans online, the series was rescued by NBC, where it started airing in 2019. —JCB, GMA News
