'The Howie Severino Podcast' is #1 in Spotify's 'Society and Culture' genre

"The Howie Severino Podcast" is rolling it on digital streaming platforms just a few days following its launch.

After hitting the No. 2 spot in most trending local podcast on Apple last Friday, the first original podcast from GMA News and Public Affairs on Sunday took the top spot of Spotify's "Society and Culture" genre.

The podcast also climbed up the Spotify's Trending Podcast list from No. 9 last Friday to take the fourth spot.

The podcast premiered on several digital platforms on April 8 with fellow GMA News pillar Jessica Soho as guest. 

In the pilot episode, Soho who is the country's most-awarded journalist talked about her journey in the industry, shared her eyewitness account of Marcos during the 1986 campaign, and being body-shamed.
