Angel Locsin to set up community pantry on her birthday

Angel Locsin will celebrate her birthday on Friday by putting up her own community pantry.

The actress made the announcement on her social media accounts, Thursday, showing a sneak peek of the essential goods that will be available such as canned goods, eggs, alcohol, sugar, coffee and medicine.

The pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Titanium Commercial Building, 36 Holy Spirit Drive, corner Don Matias St., Don Antonio Heights, Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

"Anyone is welcome. But please make sure to follow protocols," Angel said. "If you can, please bring your own ecobag para hindi makadagdag ng basura."

Community pantries can now be found all over the Philippines after Ana Patricia Non started the initiative in Maginhawa Street, Quezon City.

The concept has also spread outside the country after a community pantry was launched in Timor-Leste.
