Russell Crowe says he's playing Zeus in 'Thor: Love & Thunder'

Marvel fans, get ready to meet Zeus!

"Les Miserables" star Russell Crowe, who had joined the cast of Marvel's "Thor: Love & Thunder," just spoiled his own role in the upcoming film.

"I'm going to get on my bicycle and ride up to Disney-Fox studios, and I'm gonna get the hot tongs out, and around 9.15, I shall be Zeus," the actor said during an interview with Australian radio show JOY Breakfast with The Murphys.

"It's for 'Thor.' It's my last day of Zeus-ing about and I'm going to enjoy it," he added.

Zeus is one of new characters slated to be introduced in the fourth installment of the Marvel franchise. Earlier, it was reported that Christian Bale will be playing Gorr the God Butcher.

Aside from Thor star Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, who played Jane in the first Thor film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to return to wield the Mjolnir. Tessa Thompson is likewise returning to play Valkyrie.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" is the highly anticipated follow up to hit film 2017 film "Thor: Ragnarok." It will be directed by Taika Waititi.

It is slated for release in May 2022. —JCB, GMA News
