'Hospital Playlist 2' is premiering tomorrow: 5 things to look forward to

Season 2 of "Hospital Playlist" is dropping on Netflix tomorrow. Finally! We are getting closure from all those cliffhangers of season 1 — or are we?

Below are five things we can look forward to in season 2.

1. New characters joining the already-familiar squad. According to Director Shin Won-ho, season 2 will feature special appearances and new characters.

This should make the K-drama all the more richer, as the actors have admitted feeling a sense of familiarity with their characters. Jeon Mi-do mentioned being thankful for various nicknames like Song-hwa and Jun-wan being called big eaters.

2. Stronger chemistry. With actors becoming more familiar with their characters and becoming better friends, viewers can expect even a stronger chemistry among them in the new season.

“It’s almost like we don’t even need words to communicate. That’s how close we’ve become," Cho Jung Seok explained in a statement.

Jeon Mi-do piped in saying, “When we couldn’t meet off-line, we met on-line via chat rooms and video calls.”

3. Some changes in their relationships. Cho Jung Seok said, “Viewers can look forward to changes in the relationships between characters” pointing to Ik Sun and Jun Wan’s relationship, Min Ha’s feelings for Seok Hyung, as well as Wu Ju and Mo Ne.

And then there are potential changes for Jeong Won and Gyeo Ul as well as Ik Jun and Song Hwa. Are you as excited yet?

4. More heartwarming stories. At the heart of "Hospital Playlist" are heartwarming stories, so instead of bringing new things to the table, director Shin Won-ho wants to remain true to that.

“It’s always important to stick to the essence of what a series is about," he said in a statement. "We wanted to deepen what we had in the first season.”

Jeon Mi-do also stated, “I think you can look forward to the different stories of individual patients that will be heart-warming and tear-jerking.”

5. Better music! "We’ve improved a lot," said Kim Dae Myeung.

"In the past season, there were some songs that took us three months to learn and most songs took at least a month. With the new season, there were songs where we would practice a week after. We were all surprised that we could pull it off," Yoo Yeon seok added.

The second season of "Hospital Playlist" premieres at 10pm on Thursday, June 17. New episodes drop every Thursday.
